A not so quick 80-mile round trip for a coffee, blueberry muffin and a chat with some likeminded people on a cold winters' morning is a commitment. Particularly when it's just 4 degrees C (40F) outside and you are on a motorcycle. Nevertheless, about 20 other bikers also made the pilgrimage to the Watershed Café in Poolesville, Maryland this morning. For a few, we were rewarded afterwards by a personal viewing of Jim Brown's extended family of motorcycles. I call them a family rather than a collection, as they are all runners and Jim likes to treat them all the same by riding each of them regularly. What makes this family interesting is the diversity of the makes. Triumph, Honda, Suzuki, Moto Guzzi, Indian, Harley Davidson, Buell, BMW, Ducati and Norton. Walking around the garage is like taking a mini trip around the world as different parts of the garage is dedicated to a particular brand.
